When is a stone chip repair possible?
A windscreen repair is possible under the following criteria:
- The damage is smaller than a two-franc coin
- The damage is outside the driver's field of vision
- The distance to the edge of the glass is at least 10 cm
- There are no more than 2 stone chips
- No crack has formed yet
Tip: until the repair, stick a piece of clear tape over the chip so that no dirt or moisture gets in, this keeps the repair result optimal.

How quickly should a stone chip be repaired?
As quickly as possible. Temperature changes (e.g. heating or air conditioning), vibrations or dirt in the break can turn the chip into a crack, and then only a glass replacement is possible.
Will my insurance premium go up because of the repair?
